Dodleston is a small village Church of England Primary school at the heart of the community. There are strong links with the Church and village and the school offers a range of activities and experiences which reflect these links. The school is popular with pupils and parents and provides good quality education. Presentations by Bernard Dennis MBE Hon MI Ex

After more than 35 years travelling the world representing the construction and chemical industries, Bernard readily took the opportunity of early retirement at the beginning of 2006. Apart from participating in 60 government trade missions, many of which were led by royalty and leading government ministers of the time, he also found time writing for trade magazines on travel and economy related issues.

The Parish Council meets six times a year to discuss any issues which affect the parish. These issues may include anything from charities within the parish to footpaths, streetlights, road speed limits and planning matters. The parish district covers Dodleston (which includes Balderton and part of Gorstella). Lower Kinnerton (which includes the other part of Gorstella) and Marlston-cum-Lache (Rough Hill to Green Lane and Lache Lane and Wrexham Road). In accordance with the total number of houses in each Ward, Dodleston is represented by five councillors, Lower Kinnerton has three councillors and Marlston-cum-Lache has two councillors. All members of the public are welcome to attend any parish council meeting. A local government elector (local resident) may address the parish council during public speaking time, the parish council may then debate the issues raised.
